 Insomnia

Insomnia – Everyone loves to get a good night’s sleep, not only to feel good but that they feel refreshed and alert for the next day. Tiredness can disrupt your daily activities, make you grumpy and you’re body feel weak. No one wants to feel like this and especially more so if they have important jobs to do. Feeling tired and yawning all the time can be depressing for them who

have to use matchsticks’ to keep their eyelids open

What is Insomnia?

The vast majority of grown-ups have experienced insomnia or sleeplessness at some time.

About 30%-50% of the population is affected by insomnia, and 10% have chronic insomnia.

Insomnia is a symptom. Insomnia simple means " you have problems in trying to get to sleep and staying asleep. Insomnia is not determined by the amount of time a person slumbers duly because each person’s body differs in the amount of sleep it needs for it to function properly. Some people can get 4 hours sleep and feel lively and great, but then you have the person who if they don’t get their full 8 hours of shut eye then they are out of the game for a long while.

Insomnia is usually classified based on the length of time the problem persists. Not everyone agrees on one definition, but normally:

  •  symptoms lasting less than 7 days is classed as transient insomnia,
  •  symptoms going up in time and lasting between one to three weeks are classed as short-term insomnia, and
  •  And for people who go over this mark are diagnosed as suffering from chronic insomnia.

Insomnia can affect anyone regardless of age. You will find insomnia affects women more than it does men. Sleepless nights can increase with age.

Insomnia is more common in people in lower socioeconomic (income) groups, chronic alcoholics, and mental health patients. Stress  is a pointer also, although it can cause many other things to happen in a person’s life, it is most commonly known to trigger short-term or acute insomnia. You need to try and avoid stressful situations if you think this is the reason for you not sleeping well. If you are having problems with sleeping, and you’re feeling tired all the time because you are getting no kip then you must see you doctor. Insomnia of the severe kind if it is not looked into by your doctor can develop into chronic insomnia, which will need extra work doing to cure the problem.

Those who suffer from insomnia or them just having a few restless nights that prevent them from going to sleep can cause themselves harm like if driving a car when sleepy. It is not safe practice either to operate machinery in your job, or use electrical gadgets in the home or around the garden because it is dangerous. You can quite easily harm yourself and that of them around you. Seek medical attention to get help. You need to be able to sleep at the right time and get plenty of it to feel fit for your everyday chores.

Lack of sleep (insomnia) is a major cause for not only feeling low but for dark circles and puffiness developing around the eyes.

Why suffer any longer from your insomnia when the doctor may have a simple solution to why you’re not sleeping as you should. The quicker you get treated for your tiredness the quicker you can get back to normal and feel on top of the world.
